" My husband died on the 29th January with a heart attack. he was in the veld
with one of his neighbours when he began to feel the pain in his chest. When
they reached home he was already dead. The neighbour and I lifted him out of
the "Baikkie" and carried him in the house" "We buried him in the same
graveyard where his granfather Jan Carel Gustaaf, his father Peter John Truter
and his mother were buried. It is on the old farm Schimmelfontein where they
all lived until they died."
