Her ancestary is just as complex as her siblings. They were slaves and it is
not easy to identify the parents. However Carolina, according to Beddy, was the
daughter of Hendrick Ungerer and was born in 1792 or 1793. She later married
George Rex of Knysna. (Note George Rex's first wife was Carolina's mother)
